    The WA AIDS Council are advertising a full-time position as Coordinator for the Freedom Centre in Northbridge.

    The Coordinator position is a peer-based role responsible for coordinating and managing the LGBTI services provided by the Freedom Centre for LGBTI young people in Perth. Specifically, the Coordinator works within the mental health promotion peer-based framework to ensure LGBTI young people feel empowered and in control of their health by:

    • Providing community engagement and social interaction through a peer-based drop-in venue
    • Reducing barriers faced by LGBTI young people in accessing youth, health and welfare services; and
    • Increasing the awareness of diverse sexuality and gender issues of organisations who provide services to young people.
